Lemon
Citrus limonum
Essential oil is obtained by cold expression from the outer part of the fresh peel.
It takes 3,000 lemons to produce a kilo of essential oil.  Lemons are high in vitamins A, B and C.  Lemons are produced in a number of countries.  Our lemon oil is from California.  Lemon oil is phototoxic and, therefore, should not be use on skin exposed to direct sunlight.
BLENDING, NOTE, SCENT: Lemon is a Top Note oil.  It is thought to blend well with Geranium, other citrus oils, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Rosemary and Clary Sage.   I have had great success blending it with Tea Tree (see my Bacteria Buster) and Himalayan Cedarwood.  Other combinations are currently being tested.  Add this page to your favorites, for future results.
The scent of Lemon essential oil is that of a freshly peeled lemon.  Pure and simple.  Very intense.
